This tractor is the orchard version of the VA series. It touted special orchard shields and cowling to protect the trees when working. Produced from 1942 to 1955, a total of 6925 were made.

It also has a hydralic pump for implements on the rear housing. It is Orange in colour and is thought to be a Case LA 1953. Reading in this column it appears that the LA was stopped in 52. There was a hydraulic lift on it from the dealer but he had a much stronger one built at a local machine shop. The shields were removed when the orchard trees became less bushy. I m needing a left branch shield and I'm hoping to find one so I get it finished by August so we can use it for pictures for his 60th Wedding Anniversary.
