Horses - My dad at near the end of 1944 dduring the war years dragging corn ground with his 4 horse hitch. He had an 2 hart Parr Olivers in the shed along with a late 1930 Oliver 70 and could not use them very much because of the Gas rationing during that era. Tires,repairs,lubricants and Gas were all rationed and hard to get. He relied strongly on these old horses. I was 7 years old and remember it well. JH

Oliver 70		Ih No. 22 Combine In Action, 1954. - Two IH No. 22 combines finishing a field of wheat, Clinton Co, Mich, 1954. My Dad is pulling the near machine with a Oliver 70. My granddad is header man on the far machine. Not sure of the tractor, but probably a Farmall F20, driven by one of his sons.
