Dealership 1929-1955 Building

| In Greenville, Mississippi, Home Hardware Company located on Main Street was the IHC dealership in the early 1900's. In 1927 Delta Implement Company was founded and bought out Home Hardware Company. In 1929 they built and moved into this dealership shown, which was located on Washington Ave at the C & G Railroad. They occupied this dealership untill they moved into a new dealership which was built out on Highway 82 in 1955. They remained in this Highway location untill they merged with the other local Case/IH dealer who had been the former Case dealer (Ayrers Equipment Company)in the late 1980's and occupies a building built in the early 1970's on Highway 82 at Leland. It is now known as Ayres Delta Implement. The 1955 building was demolished in the mid 1990's to build a mega automobile dealership. At their peak, there were eight Delta Implement Company dealership locations; Greenville, Cleveland, Indianola, Rolling Fork, Vicksburg, and Yazoo City in Mississippi, and Blytheville and Manila in Arkansas. |
