Antique Allis Chalmers Tractor: AC A

[Return to the Shed]

This tractor was produced from 1936 through 1943. It came with either steel wheels or on rubber, and ran on gasoline. It's primary mission was belt work so the big engine was an important asset, producing 51.2 horsepower on the belt and 39.7 on the drawbar. Approximately 1225 were made.

  • I found a Model A in the paper for sale with a plow. I haven't seen it yet, but was wondering what it looked like, so was happy to see the picture. Do they take 3pt hitch attachments or are they belt driven? What is a good price for one in running condition?
