  • My husband and I are the owners of 'OLE PUFF'. I would like to ask the person who took this picture to contact me. I am cuirous as to when it was taken. I believe it had to have been 2003 because of the papers (information on the engine) hanging off the front flag holder. Please let me know if you email please put steam in the title/subject area so that i do not mistake and delete your email. thank you, melanie lanzarotta

  • We are the 4th owners of this great engine her name is 'Ole Puff'. She was made in 1928 by Geiser Manufacturing sn# 18298 she is the last to come off the assembldy line and not assembled until 1939 for an Amish gentelman by the name of Samual Stoltzfus. the Grubb family were the 2nd owners in 1972 , 3rd owners were the Dotys1987. we got her from them in 1998. she has been at the Rough and tumble show, Mt. Plesant show, Williams Grove show, and now at the Great Oregon Steam-Up. she has been featured in the Iron Man Albume multipule times and will again in the Nov-Dec. issue. If any one knows of a Stoltzfus family member please let them know I would like to get in contact. I have written documentation on this engine from all owners except the Stoltzfus's. if I have miss dated miss quoted or forgot anyone please e mail us at philranch at aol.com (please put steam or ole puff in the tital area)

  • THE 1920 PEERLESS SHOWN IN THE TRACTORSHED PHOTO LOOKS INCREDABLY LIKE A PEERLESS ENGINE I SAW AT THE 2001 OWENSVILLE THRESHERS CONVENTION HELD IN ROSEBUD, MO. BACK IN JULY. AT THIS CONVENTION, MANY OLD STEAM ENGINES AND ANTIQUE TRACTORS ARE DISPLAYED. THEY COME FROM ALL OVER THE CENTRAL STATES AREA AND EVERYONE HAS A BALL. THEY HAVE GRAIN THRESHING, LUMBER SAWING, TRACTOR PULL, HORSE PULL, AND A WIDE VARIETY OF OTHER EVENTS (NOT TO MENTION GREAT FOOD). EVERY YEAR THEY MEET ON THE 3RD WEEKEND IN JULY, I BELIEVE. IT'S A GOOD PLACE FOR OLD TRACTOR & STEAM ENGINE BUFFS TO HAVE FUN.
