Jim Braid wrote on Sunday, July 22, 2007 (PDT):I lived in Alaska for years and bought a 1952 MM. It was used as a military airplane tug... wheel weights on all four wheels, even the seat was a big block of steel. 24volt starter and lights. I put a snowblower on it with its own engine. Moved a lot of snow with it for about 5 yrs. sold it but now wish I still had that old MM.

Richard Tresselt wrote on Monday, May 09, 2005 (PDT):I bought a 1955 MM UBD (Diesel)picked it up off the Minnesota State Fair Grounds. First Tractor in the neighborhood that could pull four 16" plow! It was a wonderful machine for it's day! Only draw back was the fact that it was a bear to start once the temp got below Zero! I was so proud of that tractor, sure made a Farmal Super M (TA) look sick! Neighbor bought a MM 'G' Diesel that the biggest tractor around for awhile. MM Made good tractors! Just don't see too many around! Thanks, Richard

Steve Boston wrote on Saturday, November 06, 2004 (PST):I remember spending many hours on a model U my Dad purchased in the 1960's. We were told it was a 1952 model and slightly different as I recall fromthe photo. Ours was tri-cycle type with large rear wheels - the hood actually had a slight incline rear to front. Decal on the tractor simply said U model. Had hand clutch, hand throttle, choke, gearshift, PTO engagement. The steering was a man-killer in rough ground. Huge power from the engine. Used it for silage cutting, filling and hay conditioning in southern Ohio.

Robert Thullner wrote on Friday, January 31, 2003 (PST):My dad bought a UTS MM from a traveling jockey that came out of Missouri during WWII. It had a TWIN CITIES embol on the hood. I believe it was a military version painted MM yellow. I have the belt pulley drive and the quick jaw hitch that mounted near the PTO. I remember the foot clutch and the large steering wheel and the seat mounted to the side. Dad traded this UTS for a new MM GB in 1958 which is still used for part of the farming operation today. I also have a 1953 UTS which is not running at this time, it has a different front axle, the steering rods are behind the axle and the axle has a slight arch. Both are origional, as they both conform to the parts book pictures for their respective years.

Don Moore wrote on Saturday, April 10, 1999 (PDT):This Tractor belongs to Mike Moore of Forest Grove, Oregon. He is the second owner and it was purchased for $50.00 from the original owner. As you can see alot more money has been put into the tractor. The tractor was fetured on the cover of "Prarie Gold" last year. It also has a reputation in the region for pulling very hard.
