1925 S Rumely W/Z Updates

This is the 30-60 formerly owned by Bud Stambaugh. Why such an early S received Z updates doesn't figure--maybe the owners paid for updates. I have been told a pair of new S's was sold to two brothers, John and Sam Fogel, from the H. Clyde Davis dealership in Maryland. I'm guessing that's where the rubber lugs, made from hard rubber truck tires, and the rear tanks were mounted. The tanks have been with the tractor almost forever, it seems, and they will stay with the tractor. The extended canopy is a little shakey but I like it! BY the way, the engine number is 70 and the transmission case flange is stamped 69 as is the tag. I can't make out the number at the front. Submitted by Craig Anderson, from WI |
