Fowler Ploughing Engine No. 4390 16HP Compound & Fowler Scoop

Fowler Engine A pair were supplied new to the SA Colony Governement in 1882. Purchased by J D McTaggart in 1908 for work on the Nonning lease. Major overhauls in 1927 included new vrankshafts and a half barrel shell which was drilled and hammer riveted by station staff under supervision from Horwood Bagshaw. Used until 1942 Fowler Scoop This scoop was used on Nonning Station SA where it built dams and other earthworks. It operates between two steam ploughing engines which haul it back and forth by means of cable winches. It was restored for the 1993 Rally by members of the society. Donated by the Nonning Pastoral Co. Owned & Restored by the Booleroo Steam & Traction Society
