1960 Massey Ferguson 98

The Very Rare Original 1960 Massey Ferguson 98 Diesel with a Super Charged 3-71 Detroit Diesel Engine made by GM. Only about 500 of these tractors were every made. These were made for Massey by Oliver and then fitted Massey parts. The engines is the same as the ones found on a Oliver Super 99 and 990's This tractor was found in 1998 in Iowa and mechanically it was in very sound shape, but needed a lot of cosmetic work. It has been beautifully restored and painted by Francis Baker of Union Bridge Maryland. The front tires are new and the rears are about 80%. It has a high/low range transmission not the typical Oliver style transmission and hand clutch. It has a 2 hydraulic outlets but no PTO. Just a good old Midwest dirt pounder! Since it�s restoration it has been barn kept and only taken out to show at local steam and antique tractor shows. It has never been used for pulling. The tractor weighs in at about 9000lb the fluid has been removed from the tires. It trully runs great! Submitted by Steve, from TX
