2004 Case Ih 2366 Combine At East Moline, Ill.

I took a tour of the factory before they closed here in 04, and here was a beautiful 2366 sitting outside. Such a shame a place like this is shutdown, same with Farmall Works. So much history, and I had the honor and privilage of being guided by an individual who had worked there since 1942 until the plant's changeover to Case IH, when he retired and became a tour guide ever since. He was so knowledgeable, spoke from experience and from the heart, and took me by the shoulder and showed me where all of my favorite pickers rolled off the line, from the 2-M all the way to the 234, the track groove in the floor was still there, but the chain long removed. He described his days working there, and for a seventeen year old boy, I really wanted to cry. What a special and memorable trip. Submitted by Tim Malin, from WI
