1937 B Deere And 38 C Case Dads TRACTORS1

These are dad's two tractors that we farmed with during the late 40's and 50's. Both were orginally on steel wheels but dad converted them to rubber when he bought them. As teenagers, we three brothers spent many hours using these tractors. The C was the powerhouse. The B was nice for all the lighter work. The C was great on the belt and for plowing and discing. One fall, we were filling a silo for my uncle with a belt driven stationary silage cutter. One of the men pitching bundles into the cutter was a 'Farmall man' as I remember and he bet dad he could pitch bundles into the cutter fast enough to kill the C Case belted to the cutter. Not even close!!! Then there was the time I raced the John Deere B with the neighbors Super C Farmall each pulling a load of hay for about 3 miles on a hilly road. With my foot on the governor arm, which dad certainly did not approve of--and did not know about of course, I could barely keep up with the Super C Farmall. And then there was the time-----------.
