John Deere Too Hot To Start

Stalled the John Deere 4050 4x4 with dual rear wheels working steep country with a Duncan direct drill. motor has about 9000hrs on it and wont start when hot, so we use a bucket of water to cool the injector pump down and it cranks up straight away .
