1954 John Deere 60 And 227 Picker

This picture was taken in 1978 or 79 near Holstien IA. The tractor under the picker is the 60 that my Grandpa bought new, and the one I have now. Note the elevator extension on the 227 and how high the flare box is built up. The other tractor is a 1967 3020 diesel that my grandpa also had. We are picking up the family potato supply. We used to dig the potatoes with an old walk behind horse drawn potato plow that you can barely see behind the 3020. Grandpa must have gave me an ear of corn out of the wagon.
