Big Round Aluminum Thing

This item was shipped to me in error from a tractor parts company and they never returned my emails about wanting it back. I was going to scrap it but I want to know what it is first and maybe somebody could use it. It is 3 feet wide and has 8 mounting holes and is solid aluminum. Any info on what this thing is would be appreciated. It also has the numbers 40-418 and 30-7-40 written on it in marker. Thanks
