One I picked up and bout beat this old mechanic, it had water in the tank. if wuz a PITA to git started and after 'bout 5 min you had to hold the choke to it to keep run'in. Seamed you had to clean and play with the points to git started every time and cuzz I had fuel flow it never dawned on me to check the quality of the fuel. I cleaned the tank sealed with por-15 and gave the outside a fresh coat of paint, rebuilt the carb and pressured washed the tractor. Once I got fresh fuel to it and cleaned the carb it runs out good, dont it amaze ya what problems contaminated fuel kin cause Gotta look into why the steer'in izz thigh and git to were it will stop. Its a rite nice unmolested Farmall now the hard part do I keep it and sell the 100, do I unbolt the engine from the 100 and bolt it to the 140 (I just rebuilt the engine and front end on the 100)Why this izz in my head izz the 140 izz one of the only ones I have driven that the trans and rear end are quite, think I will take a few years to decide. BTW the owner wuz part'in this'in out and I had brought most of the parts that he had sold off'in it, findly he gave me a price on it I could not turn down, it did git hiz goat when I got it run'in and drove it on the trailer.
