OK, just like the Dodge powerwagon, these Landrovers were marketed as farm vehicle. Test number 749, at U. of Nebraska tested one in 1960, with only the Lucas generator giving them any trouble (any one who has worked on a british car will not be suprised by that,,,) this one is a short wheelbase 88' which is almost jeep like. Too bad they never caught on in the U.S. They just couldnt compete with the jeep that cost about half as much. Submitted by Dale, from MI |
