1945 John Deere LA with lots of custom modifications performed by an equipment fabricator. The tractor runs like a champ and appears to have originally been bright industrial yellow prior to being painted green and the modifications being performed. Has the following; a Joy brand loader with down pressure and hydraulic tilt bucket, live hydraulic pump driven off the crankshaft, power steering, auxiliary transmission providing 10 fwd gears and 3 reverse, three point hitch w/down pressure, and a custom made PTO assembly much like an original PTO, but different and heavier duty. None of these options have ever been available for an LA to my knowledge with the exception of the dealer PTO kit. The tractor also has the steering wheel/shaft relocated closer to tractor centerline, and the factory work light mounted on the loader post which doubles as the hydraulic tank. The tractor utilizes two Farmall A style rear wheel weights (two of the heavier ones) for ballast, and runs, drives, is balanced, and performs all functions extremely well.
