640 John Deere Cultivator

I found this sitting beside the road in South TX. I would call it a Field cultivator, but I dont know what it was actually used for. The frame bears a stamped 'John Deere 640'. Anybody esle have one of these? If I had an unstyled letter series Deere I would be on it. I would love some comments on it!!
