Ford Half-Ton Pickup
[Previous Pic] [Main List] [Next Pic]
This is how you used to haul your crop to the market, with one of these handy devices by H. Ford. I believe this is a Model T. It has the signature 4-cyl L-head engine that was so popular in later years in the Ford 9N, Ford 2N, Ford 8N tractors, as well as WWI Jeeps, and a host of other devices. This truck has a worm-drive differential, and a PTO shaft protruding forwards from the housing. The tires are load range 'C' (about 1850 lbs), which is typical of a modern half-ton pickup. You have to carry two spares, because the front tires are slightly smaller than the rear. It sports a genuine 'AH-OOG-AH' horn under the hood. The headlights on the cab are kerosene.
