1973 Farmall 966 And 1961 John Deere 3010

Just wanted to share a photo from our annual Slow Race. This is the 4th year for the Allenbrook Farms Slow Race and it took place Sunday, October 7,2007. We run 2 twelve foot lanes, 100 foot long, have an official judge and tractors have to be 30 years old, manufactured 1977 or prior. This year we had a Cockshutt 40, Oliver 770, Case 400D, a Farmall Cub and many John Deeres and Internationals, for a total of 26 entrants. We run 2 classes, over and under 75 horsepower and award trophies for 1st and2Nd place. We then match the 2 first place winners to get our grand champion. This year, as a twist, the judge had the 2 first place winners run in opposite directions so that they couldn't gage how they were doing during the match. The John Deere 3010 appeared to be a bit slower, but the drive was trying too hard and stalled the tractor, so the International 966 won grand champion. Submitted by Jeff Gregrow, from NY
