1941 H Farmall

This is a pre-war 1941 Farmall H. When I was home on leave from across the pond I had the opportunity to take on a task of re-doing it. When I looked at the tractor at first I thought, does this thing run. It looks like it was setting in the weather since 1945. Other words, it was not a good sight. It went into the shop along with Mark's super M for dismantle. I was just not so sure about it. Actually the tractor looked like it was striped. I had to put on a complete belt pulley along with a bottom belly pump. A new radiator was added as the old steel one was kind of an iffy. A trip to the tractor junkyard in Blufton Ohio was a must for another hood. After 12 hr days of sandblasting and painting, the tractor was looking good. By the time my leave status was about to be over, I took a big look at the two tractors and was happy that I was able to meet my goal. Now that I am back in Afghanistan, I can share the memories of my holidays. Submitted by Mark Carey, from OH
