1974 Deutz 6006D

An outstanding dairy farm tractor for my dad's Michigan Dairy Farm during the 70's and the 80's. With 66 horsepower, 4 cylinder, air cooled diesel, it handled all the heavy work such as plowing, disking and daily hay harvest for the feeder wagon, and many of the medium jobs. It was easy to get on and off of and was cool. It could run all day and the engine and exhaust were still cool to the touch. Other jobs were handled by an Minneapolis Moline 4 Star (44hp), Farmall 300 (about 33 hp), and John Deere MT (about 18 hp). The Deutz is now resting since the time my dad was nolonger able to operate it or do the farm work. The farm work is now no till planting for crops such as corn, beans and a few other crops. The Minneapolis Moline 4 Star and 300 also rest. The MT was burned in an arson file that destroyed the shed in which it and a lot of other equipment was stored. Submitted by Ken Hilliard, from mi
