1959, Fordson Power Major

In picture is my father Veikko sitting on the oad of Logs. Tractoe is Fordson Power Major with halftracks and wooden sledge with cable loader. It's no wonder why old Fordson are so 'tired' here in Finland. In 1950's and 60's Finish Farmers use to get some extra incomes from timber transport at wintertime. Summertime they continued farmig at home. Sometimes farmers had to travel 200 miles from home by tractor to forest site, where they often stayed over wintertime and hauled logs.
