1940S Era Crawler Tractor Cab?

Found in a old gravel pit near Morris, NY, I checked it out as thought possibly a Linn tractor cab when found, has Linn green painted over highway/Cletrac/Allis? orange. Owner would like to find it a new owner of course, I am left flatfooted unable to tell him what it is. Looks like an old bulldozer cab of somekind to me, or maybe an excavator or grader cab?
