Oliver Raydex 416A Plow

Recently I unearthed an old Oliver plow with 3 Raydex bottoms from a neglected part of our land. As I dragged it to its new place of honour near our front gate, I was impressed with the ease at which it plowed the land it traversed! The frame still carries a light stencil painted “No 416A” and the plowshares are clearly painted “Oliver Raydex”. It has 3 steel wheels and two worm gear type leveling cranks. I have searched many sites and images of this type of plow but I have never seen a 3 bottom with 2 of these leveling cranks… Is mine an oddball? It has been suggested that it was once a 4 bottom unit and has been modified. This may be true as it does appear that part of the right side has been cut with a torch. I am guessing because of the steel wheels it is probably pre WWII, probably about 1938??? At any rate.... She's a beauty! Submitted by Tuckguy35, from SK
