1974 MF 60 Cutterbar Mower - After

Every part was stripped and cleaned. Many were repaired by building up with weld and grinding back to size. The tapered swathstick was trimmed and shaved by hand. I was fortunate to be given a brandnew swathboard dating from the mid 60's. Brackets were welded on to carry the swathboard when on the road for safety reasons. Part of the belt guard was cut out and new fabricated. New MF blade sections were fitted and the worn fingers built up with weld and pointed. All in all a great deal of work but well worth it. The tractor won the 'Best Tractor' award at a major Classic Car show in May. Submitted by Davidp, South Wales, from UK
