1959 5 Star Diesel

My uncle bought this tractor new in 1959 while he was farming in Tivoli, TX. It's the tractor I cut my teeth on while helping him on the farm. After he retired, the tractor sat out in his backyard for over 10 years. I asked him what he was going to do with it and he said junk it! I told him that I'd buy it. Well, he went and bought 2 new batteries and 5 gallons of diesel, and before the day was out, this baby was purring like a kitten!! He told me if I'd put new tires on the front that he'd give it to me! I put tires on it and drove it off! This was in the summer of 2007 and it's still shredding pastures and pulling a disc like crazy. The low range is out on it and it does need a few minor repairs, but when you hit the starter, she come to life!! Submitted by Pat Krenek, from TX
