Dearborn 22-44 Cordwood Saw

The Dearborn Model 22-44 Cordwood Saw was a semi-popular implement sold with new tractors, especially in cold climate areas where firewood was a necessity of winter survival. I found this one about 200 miles from my home and was missing the front legs, the 'wishbone' bracket, and the belt pulley with special top link bracket. I was able to copy a friends original parts, and found a belt pulley locally with the top link bracket attached -a must to use this saw. Note the side shield is missing too. The Operator's manual states that two people should operate the saw. Always a good idea to work in pairs anyway. One person should be alert at all times in case the tractor needs to be shut down fast. Also says to ground the tractor when using belt pulley by leaning the 11-hole drawbar against a running board and touching the ground to prevent static electricity from building up and sparking a fire.
