1948 Dearborn 13-2 Spring Shank Cultivator

My 1948 Ford 8N (built on October 14, 1947)restored and all gussied up getting ready for a local fall farm festival. With her is my 1948 DEARBORN 13-2 Spring Shank Cultivator, restored as well. The crop shields are moved to the rear of the implement so they don't hit the tires. In normal use, you would move the front axles out one notch and reverse the rear tires so you could straddle two rows. Then the crop fenders/shields would be attached to the front of the implement. Included but not shown here is the original row marker that bolted to the right front axle to help guide the tractor down the crop rows. Also available as an option was side dresser that had two hoppers and a drive wheel for planting seed or dropping fertilizer. Pittsburgh Forging Co, Detroit, MI supplied the cultivators to Dearborn Motors.
