1944 Farmall with Lift-All Plow

Here's a picture taken last spring while I was plowin the field set for alfalfa. It's a 1944 farmall A that I restored back in 1999. Restored the plow in 2000. Not sure what exact model the plow is but it uses the Lift-all pneumatic cylinder to raise and lower. The power comes from the tractor's exhaust. It has a special manifold with a little flapper at the top. When the lever is pulled that flapper closes and the tractor's exhaust is redirected through a hose and to the cylinder. This raises your implements. It's a real fascinating way to get the job done. Have problems with the manifold leaking a little and getting hot, that's why I've got the hood off. The first time I used the plow after restoration the manifold got so hot it burned the paint and new decals off the left side of my tractor's hood. So now I always take the hood off when I plow with it. Takes about 1/2 a day to mount all the stuff too. Fun stuff though. God bless.
