I don't know where this one comes from but the person who sent it to me said that because the fan was under water they couldn't run it. They got it out by wrapping several turns of a rope around the flywheel, running it out the side and pulling on it with a horse while the tractor was in reverse gear. Apparently repeating this process many times eventually got it to where they could start it and drive it out under its own power. I'd reckon the tiller wheel mountings would have been under a bit of strain.
