John Deere 30 Combine

Finally got the harvest pictures out of the camera. Most everything went well. I need to adjust a few things. The slip clutch on the grain elevator needed to be tighter after I had installed the seed cleaner which cause more of a drag on that drive.. The fanblast could have been a directed towards the back of the chafers to reduce the amount of chaff in the finish product. The wind had blown down a pretty good amount of wheat . I was amazed how well the combine was able to get close to the ground and pick it up. I adjusted the sieves about 3 times. That helped to get a cleaner finished product. The seed cleaner is an accessory I took off a Allis Chalmers All Crop Combine in salvage. The only one I could find for a John Deere was in Portland. OR. I need to find or make a screen for seed cleaner that has larger holes to let more of the bigger weed seeds through. Did better that last year but still need to work out some bugs. Part of the problem is my soil is just not that good. Submitted by Wes Gordon, from OK
