40S Ford 9N

I am not a ford guy and I just picked up this tractor. It is I think a 1940 9N acocording to the Serial number. I want to know if this is a Sherman Tranny lever? I know that this lever has 3 selections all the way up middle is neutral and all the way back. I have a stuck clutch and can not try it out. it is on the left side of the tractor as you are sitting on it and is down in front of the 3 speed shifter on the left side. What is it?
