1940 Ford 9N

Should I leave the stablizing bars on it. I think they are bent wrong, or not made for this tractor. They each have one bend in them, towards the middle, and bent inword towards the pto shaft. When they reach the pins, they seem like they should be bent back parrallel to the fenders. I have to fight and beat them onto impleaments. Should I pull them or put a second bend in them?
