CLM Diesel Engine 2

CLM vertical 2 cylinder 2-stroke opposed piston diesel. The inlet piston is at TDC, opening the inlet ports which are the square holes in the liner just above the cylinder block. The 2 side rods and crosshead are connected to the inlet piston by a gudgeon pin located by 2 bolts which are secured by lockwire. The inlet piston can be removed leaving the side rods in place and without draining the coolant. Both upper and lower piston heads are removable. If a piston head burns out it can be replaced in the field in about half an hour.
