This is how I modified my Oliver 66 ; First, the project was to install a recuperated Allis cab on it. To be able to climb on the tractor by the front of the wheel, I had to move forward the dash and all the driving installation; seat, steering, pedals, hydraulic commands, Transmission shifter, etc. If your interested, I could explain you all the procedure. This job was my hobby for a whole winter. You may call me heretic, and say I sploiled a nice old machine to do this kind of an hybrid. But believe me, it makes for a nice and much more usefull tractor, and I am rather proud when plowing snow with it, in an heated cab, and enjoying the nice view from that tall horse. This winter, I installed him a snow blower on the tree point hitch. It is running good, but the reverse gearing is too high. I am working on something to overcome this problem, but I am receptive to suggestions. My opinion is that an happy tractor is a working tractorAnd happy is the man working with this one. I am looking for a name for her Submitted by Jr The French Canadian, from QC |
